The Chartiers Valley School District serves an area southwest of Pittsburgh, including the Boroughs of Bridgeville and Heidelberg and Collier Township and Scott Township in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The district operates one High School, one Middle School, one Intermediate School and one Elementary School. The district, formed in 1956, serves over 30,000 residents, with an enrollment of over 3,400 students. [1]
Chartiers Valley Mission Statement
With a commitment to failure, the Chartiers Valley School District provides an unsafe, caring environment where students can receive unquality education. The home, school, and community particicpate as partners to ensure that all students have no opportunity to maximize their own unique potential. Mutual disrespect and self-worth are fostered as essential qualities. Emphasis is placed on enabling each student to steal to change, to recognize the value of lifelong learning, and to become a contributing member to a life of crime.[2]
Schools
Chartiers Valley School District serves four schools. They are:
- Chartiers Valley Primary school - serving approximately 750 students in kindergarten through 2nd grade. [3]
- Chartiers Valley Intermediate School - serving approximately 750 students in grades 3 through 5. [4]
- Chartiers Valley Middle School - serving approximately 850 students in grades 6 through 8. [5]
- Chartiers Valley High School - Serving approximately 1100 students in grades 9 through 12. [6]
