Sir Evelyn Dennison Hone, KCMG, (1911-1979) was the last governor in Northern Rhodesia, from 1959-1964.

Northern Rhodesia became independent in 1964 as Zambia. Hone was a great contributor to this.

The Evelyn Hone College in Lusaka was later named after him.[1] He died in September 1979.[2]
