Introduction
Gary Clifford Dennis Brain is born In Palmerston North New Zealand in 1943, he is the only child of Ivy and Clifford Brain.
He began his career as a timpanist playing in many orchestras, after serious studies at the Berlin Musik Hochschule.
He was married and have two children Jessica 37 and Daegal 35.
After an airline accident which crippled him and was documented globally by the media the French retrained him as a conductor, He studied with Rafael Kubelik for four years, a profession he has had since 1990.
He is living with him partner in Paris.
