Burgerkill formed on May 1995, The band formed as a side-project which didn't have any certain purposes, just a bunch of metal heads jamming while waiting an offering to perform a real one.
in early 1997. , they released their first song, Revolt! became an opening track in "Masaindahbangetsekalipisan" compilation.
At the end of 1997, "Offered Sucks" and "My Self" appeared on "Breathless" compilation. Then In 1998, their continued releasing single called "Blank Proudness" which was included in "Independent Rebel" compilation . Since then Burgerkill was going broadly in so many underground events in Indonesia and Malysia.
Burgerkill became the first metal band who signed six album contract forwith Sony Music Entertainment, Then, at the end of 2003, they released their 2nd album, "Berkarat". which was more progressive and skilled, to be compared with their past works. "Berkarat" were chosen as "Best Metal Production" in 2004 AMI Awards, a prestige music achievement in Indonesia.
their 3rd album, "Beyond Coma and Despair" was released by their own record label "Revolt! Records" on August 2006. the music that was utterly different with their past albums. It's Heavier, explicit, and technically elements were presented in this album.
Ivan, the lead vocalist,past away in July 2006. And after doing a long process of Vocal Audition, finnaly they found Vicki to be a new front man for the next chapter of their career.
in 2009 the band toured in Australia, they're also appeared in Australian Soundwave 2009
