"Western tourists"

Why are people from the British Isles referred to as "Western"? Turkey has long been allied with the USA and been a member of NATO too...--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 19:46, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article history

Since the article almost for a year and a half of history under the title Tara Whelan, I saw it fit to include its history before the redirect. I also added the link for the two deletion nominations, the first with the result "keep", and the second with the result "redirect". Cretanforever (talk) 20:36, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Move request

A minibus was what was bombed, and not a bus, and the title should be precise in reflecting this. Cretanforever (talk) 18:25, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Footnote?

I feel there is potential for discussion on whether the second paragraph, not referring to this event in the strictest sense, should rather be appropriately footnoted? 88.250.172.48 (talk) 17:55, 9 October 2009 (UTC) Cretanforever (talk)[reply]

The blast came six days after a bombing in the nearby town of Çeşme, which had left at least 20 people injured.[1] Two months earlier, on 30 April, a police officer, chief superintendent Yaşar Aykaç, had lost his life while he was trying to defuse a bomb placed in a plastic bag in a Kuşadası town square.
