The Adventures of the Imagination of Periphery Stowe is an American fantasy novel by Josh Wagner, first published in 2004 by BAM Publications. A revised edition was released in 2008 from Impossible Clock Productions.
The novel is a work of metafiction which features itself as a primary plot device in the story. The story takes place in the aftermath of an age of immortal youth, in which people could be renewed, regenerated, and reborn. This age was ushered in by Mister Periphery Stowe, who developed the regenerative process. But when Periphery Stowe fell into a seemingly endless sleep the process began to break down, and old age and death once more crept into the world. The majority of the novel tells the story of Riggs Bombay, the boy who is not afraid of one single thing, and his journey from physical, to mental, to spiritual states of reality. Accompanied by four insect-like hallucinations, Riggs travels through several metaphorical layers on a quest to deliver a book to the sleeping inner being of Periphery Stowe and save the day. The book he is sent to deliver is The Adventures of the Imagination of Periphery Stowe.
The novel was first reviews by Heartland Reviews[1] in 2004. A more comprehensive feature review was made upon republication in 2008 by Dave Baxter[2] of Broken Frontier.

The American comic book mini-series, 'Fiction Clemens', also by Josh Wagner and published by Ape Entertainment, is the origin story of Fiction Clemens and Dune Trixie who play a minor role in Periphery Stowe.
