The Hosgri Fault zone is located near the coast of Southern California which is completely offshore. It is a reverse and thrust fault. Its last major earthquake occured in 1927 with a magnitude of 7.3. [1]
The Clayton-Marsh Creek-Greenville Fault is located in the eastern San Francisco Bay Area of California. It is part of the somewhat parallel system of faults that are secondary to the San Andreas Fault. The 5.8 magnitude 1980 Livermore earthquake occurred on this fault.
