Devonshire House Preparatory School is a mixed independent IAPS day school for children from three to eleven for girls and to thirteen for boys. The School is based in four large Victorian houses in the centre of Hampstead. The School currently has 530[1] children with just over half boys.

History

The School is a relative newcomer to the list of schools in Hampstead having been established in 1989 [2] by Sir John Loveridge. The School continues to be operated by the family firm. Mrs Serena Alexander was appointed as the Headmistress in August 2004[3].

Recent School Highlights

Devonshire House has an emphasis on raising funds for various charities throughout the year. Recently funds were raised[4] for the Royal Free Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Aplastic Anaemia Trust, Anaphylatic Research, Hopes and Homes for Children and the Lowes Syndrome Trust.
