20°17′02″S 50°14′47″W / 20.28389°S 50.24639°W / -20.28389; -50.24639 Fernandópolis is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population in 2004 is 64,470 [citation needed] and the area is 551.13 km². The elevation is 535 m. Fernandópolis is a vibrant city with intense night life. It has two main universities: FEF and UNICASTELO, including courses such as Medicine, Biomedicine, Law, Dentistry, Nursery, Civil Engineering, Agronomy and many others. In May, the city festivities take place called "EXPOSIÇÃO" (EXPOSITION) with many atractions including: National and International Rodeo, FunFair rides, Typical food, Shows with the main artists in the national chart and a Nightclub that goes till the sunrise.

Fernandopolis is the home town of Marcelo Guirro, currently studying at the University of Sussex in Brighton, east sussex, UK.
