COI and notability allegations

Once I'd realised that I'd perhaps risked violating the COI guidelines, I admitted on this talk page that I am a current partner of Abel & Imray. The source of infomation is a brochure published in 1971 about the firm. Most of the information of historical interest is added on pages dedicated to our founding partners Mr Abel and Mr Imray. I thought it would be a shame to allow the material gathered in 1971 to get lost in a dusty library and so wrote the relevant pages. The firm must be one of the first founded in the UK (est 1871) and the founding partners and a small collection of other indiviuals set up the profession's institute, CIPA. These facts about the firm and Mssrs Abel and Imray are of historical interest. It seemed odd to write pages for Mssrs Abel & Imray and not link them to each other via a page like this. The fact that we are still in business today, must be of interest - I'm not sure that I know of any other UK firm that has had a name that has lasted as long: perhaps someone can prove me wrong! Lastly, I've been careful not to include anything to advertise the current firm, its clients, or its currrent rankings in surveys such as Legal 500, Chambers, or the like, although these might justify notability, despite being temporary! (so I'm not sure what to do). Jim6pearson (talk) 17:42, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
