Dewey Riley is one of the three main characters in the Scream Films.[1] He is first introduced in Scream as a young deputy investigating the Woodsboro murders. He is freinds with Sydney Presscott, another survivor and main victim of the mursers. He is also romatically involved with Gale Weathers, a t.v news reptorter doing anything to get the exclusive.



Scream

In Scream Deputy Dwight (better known as Dewey) Riley is one of Woodsboro's "Finest". His sister and he are freinds with Sidney Presscott. He is investigating the Woodsboro murders when he realizes he is just as much a suspect or victim as anyone else. Since Sidney is the main victim he watches over her in hopes of finally catching the killer. In the end Dewey is stabbed in the back by the killer who turns out to be Stu Macher and Billy Loomis (Sidney's boyfreind). He lives and it is hinted that he and Gale stay together.
