Hayes MacArthur is a stand-up comedian, actor and writer from Chicago.

Early Life

MacArthur attended Deerfield Academy and received a B.A. in Government from Bowdoin College. He has studied at the Groundlings Theater Company and Atlantic Theater Company.

Acting Career

He took first place at the 2003 Rebels of Comedy Competition. He has been featured on such TV shows as Mad TV, Comedy Central's Premium Blend and Medium.

In 2005, MacArthur co-wrote, produced and starred in a 16-minute short film, The Adventures of Big Handsome Guy and His Little Friend, with Jason Winer. The short was produced as a pilot for TV in 2006. In 2007, MacArthur appeared with fiance Ali Larter in National Lampoon's Homo Erectus, and the Disney movie The Game Plan. He was named for the renowned actress Helen Hayes.[1]

Personal

He is married to Heroes actress Ali Larter.[2] They were married on Saturday, August 1, 2009, at his parents' estate in Kennebunk, Maine. They walked down a grassy aisle under a canopy of trees lined with purple, pink and white flowers. Guests, including actress Amy Smart and actor Joshua Jackson arrived on trolleys for the outdoor ceremony.[3]
