It is the river originated from Sabha lake (Sabha Pokhari)whic is in eastern Nepal. The name of a Nepalese district comes from two rivers one being Sabha and the other Sankhuwasabha.Sankhuwasabha has major two parts eastern and northern. It is Sabha river which separates these two parts of Sankhuwasabha district of Nepal.

Sabha river is a cristal clear river because most of the water here are collected from the land source, not from the mountain. This is also the source of irrigiation and drinking water on its banks. The river is not very long but very useful for the local people as it is also the source of fish. This river can also be useful for irrigation and for hydroelectricity if it is utilized well. The river mixes in Arun river at the south of Tumlingtar.
