A tag has been placed on Ryan Russell, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 06:07, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your Expansion of Ryan Russell

Wow, I can see you're expanding the article so it doesn't get deleted. thumbs up Great! Thanks! It seems like you're reinventing the wheel somewhat, creating wikitables in places where standardization (such as infoboxes) has taken place. To give you some tips, take a look at how his brother's page is organized. This page should get a hockey player infobox and be organized similar to the Kris Russell page. Just a suggestion. Happy editing. ɳoɍɑfʈ Talk! 08:08, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, responding to your message: 1) I am not an administrator, but am an experienced editor, and I work on some of the "back-end" functions of wikipedia. 2) When you want to leave a comment on someone's talk page, many people find it convenient to use the {{talkback|User talk:XXXX}} template (enter your username where the X's are), which looks like this, when used:
Hello, Braydengerr. You have new messages at Noraft's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
3) A great way to learn wikiformatting is to go to a page where you see something you'd like to use, hit "edit page" and then take a look at the code (wikimarkup). You can copy the code there and paste it into your page. Give it a try with Kris Russell. If you have more questions, I am happy to answer them. This very minute I need to run, though so likely will be tomorrow. ɳoɍɑfʈ Talk! 08:21, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
So for tomorrow, when you see this message, you can reply right here, so the whole conversation stays in one place. After you do so, go to my talk page and place {{talkback|User:Braydengerr}} on my page under the Talkbacks section. Then I'll know you've replied here, and I'll come see what you wrote. I hope you don't mind me mentoring you a bit, since you seem new. Welcome to Wikipedia. ɳoɍɑfʈ Talk! 08:33, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am not an administrator, but am an experienced editor, and I work on some of the "back-end" functions of wikipedia. Good job using the talkback. Make sure it points to where the message is, which is not your User: page, but your User talk: page. Also, when you make a reply, use the colon to offset your reply so it is indented. This makes it easier for users to see you are replying to something they said. This comment I am making is indented four times, so I use four colons like this :::: When you edit the page, you'll see the colons at the start of each paragraph. Your reply should use five colons to be offset properly. To answer your question, you can upload a photo by clicking the "Upload File" link, which is on the Toolbox menu, on the left side of your screen. There are a lot of rules regarding uploads, mostly related to copyright, so make sure you read everything carefully. Good luck, and keep the questions coming as you need things. Oh, one last thing: it is really important that you sign your comments, by typing four tildes (~~~~ at the end of your comment, which is why you see my name with a date and timestamp at the end of all my posts. ɳoɍɑfʈ Talk! 21:47, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
