Our own overshoot

Shouldn't it be mentioned in this article that the human species is currently consuming 30%-40% more in one year than nature can regenerate?

Well, I just watched this course from the teaching company ( http://www.teach12.com/ttcx/coursedesclong2.aspx?cid=1720 ), and the lecturer ( Eric Strauss ) said exactly the same.
