Elsewhere, the wiki calls FXS "foreign exchange service, and links for FXO refer here.

1. There is no such thing as a "Foreign eXchange Service" in telephony. It is "Foreign eXchange Subscriber".

2. This page defines FXS, or "Foreign eXchange Subscriber"

think of a plain old telephone sitting on your table, not plugged in.

The FXS is the jack on your phone that goes to your phone. You are the subscriber. The FXO is the jack in the wall that goes to the phone company. They are the Office.
