Heart-kun

Heart-Kun, a chihuahua puppy who has become Japan's heart-throb after he was born with a heart-shaped mark on his coat.

Images of "Heart-kun" have been circulating ever since he was born in Odate, Japan in May 2007 at a pet store.

Shop owner Emiko Sakurada, who bred over 1,000 puppies, said that she had been breeding dogs for several years now and had never come across such strange markings.

Heartkun became a celebrity after a local television station aired pictures of him. Since then, Sakurada has been flooded with calls from people wanting to buy him, which she has turned down. Sakurada has no plans to sell Heartkun because she believes his unusual markings have brought her luck.
