This seems to be a direct copy of Microsoft content!! http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc144200(VS.85).aspx#Shellexecute

Hardly. The article resembles that page but then it would, wouldn't it... Just because I copied the entry definitions from that page doesn't make it a violation of anything. There's a standard way of writing command lines and setting defintions - with square brackets meaning optional etc etc. - so there's no other way of writing it and why would I.
Given that wikipedia is not original research by definition, everything on wikipedia is a rewrite of existing content. There were 7 articles under the AutoRun and AutoPlay MSDN tree which I had to read about a million times just to write an article that was consistent.

Windows 7

Thanks to 69.232.153.100 for the Win7 edit, genuinely useful information from someone. Makes a change. This info has citable reference in the "Autorun.inf Entries" MSDN article so I made small changes which aren't meant to be pissy or pedantic! This is information which wasn't available when I added the Windows 7 section (yeah, I winged it and got it wrong).

Daniel Martin, MVP, has said that Windows 7 still parses autorun.inf files and, for non DRIVE_CDROM types, ignores all [autorun] section entries except icon= and label= settings. Easily provable by looking in the MountPoints2 mount cache in the registry. The guy knows what he's talking about if he references that registry entry! The comment addition to the MSDN "Autorun.inf entries" article is precisely worded - thanks to Daniel for that contribution and leaving no doubt as to what is and isn't parsed.
