Removal of Assessment from Ferguson Center for the Arts

Hello. I saw that you had de-assessed Ferguson Center for the Arts by removing the "start" assessment from the WikiProject Virginia tag. Perhaps this was inadvertent. If not, please explain the reason for the deletion. WPV works hard to assess all articles related to Virginia. VirginiaProp 15:12, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"No problems. You didn't do anything wrong. Editing tags are useful and you should view them as help when you are creating an article. The tags make sure that the article gets put on a list that other WikiPedians can view of articles that need various types of assistance. Article creation is collabarative on WP and assistance can be very helpful. Most of us don't have the time or resources to create an article and take it to full GA status on our own. Also, tags are a way for an editor to mark something that needs to be improved, but for which he either doesn't have the time, the knowledge or the interest in improving himself. Grace Episcopal Church (Keswick, Virginia)

Thanks for creating the above article. However, I must advise you that you need to add text to the article to establish its notability. Just having an infobox is not enough. You might want to look at St. Paul's Episcopal Church ( Richmond, Virginia) for ideas. Also you might want to look at All Saints Episcopal Church, Waveland (Jensen Beach, Florida). Rub a Google search on the church and pay particular attention to the history given on the church's own website. Look for famous people or events associated with the church. The age and architecture of the building are also important. Your church is listed on the National Register of Historic Places at [1]] under the name of Grace Church, Cismont. Thanks for your message. I think there's enough in the article now to protect it from being speedily deleted. Being on the National Register insures notability. Please remember that the article needs to have a neutral point of view and be factual with references either from books, websites, etc. It shouldn't be written like a press release or ad.
