SERENGHETTI GUITARS is an american owned and operated guitar company that hand builds/manufactures high end custom electric guitars, basses, and protype instruments. (This includes six, seven, eight and nine stringed instruments.)
Most known for the one piece "seamless" guitar that is entirely hand carved from a single slab/log of wood. Also builds neck thru guitars.
SERENGHETTI GUITARS is owned solely by Ray Patterson and is currently based in Ocala , florida.
Ray started repairing and experimenting on guitars from his early teens and throughout his twenties. At the age of 33, he designed his 1 piece guitar design which is Patent Pending.
After designing and building his prototype "seamless" guitar, Ray noticed that the 1 piece construction of the guitar had no loss of vibratory tone and had produced a guitar that was louder in volume, and had greatly increased harmonic range and sustain values beyond traditional guitars that utilized different neck to body attachments.(i.e: bolt on, set neck, set thru neck, neck thru.)
Construction
Each Serenghetti Guitar is hand carved using only simple tools and master woodworking skills. There are no cnc machines, and no mass production. Each instrument is hand carved and custom made in the USA for each customer on a custom order basis.
Serenghetti Guitars offers solid 1 piece guitars that are entirely hand carved from a single slab/log, as well and neck thru guitars. All woods are premium grade/exhibition grade woods that are imported from all over the world. Serenghetti Guitars uses USA made hardware(tremolos,tuners,truss rods,knobs etc) exclusively, unless otherwise noted or custom ordered differently.
Instruments
6, 7, 8 string guitars.-4 and 5 string basses.- Also offers prototype/developmental instruments and designs.(customer submitted designs) Serenghetti Guitars offers 3 original body designs and 2 original headstock designs.
