Sam Matterface

Sam Matterface (born 1978 in Dartford) is an English sports broadcaster currently working for Sky Sports News.

He came to prominence as the well-known voice of south-coast radio station 107.4 The Quay, where he presented a variety of sports related programmes from 2001-2007, as well as the breakfast show. He is a fan of Chelsea FC. He started presenting on Sky Sports News in July 2007.

Matterface started working in sports radio in 1992 for local hospital radio station OHR, before moving into commercial radio at 16. He worked at BBC Radio Kent in 1998, then Capital Radio Sport from 1999.

He was amongst three shortlisted for the Commercial Radio Presenter of the Year award in 2006, and Sam maintains a keen interest Chelsea.

Sam is also a lover of eating live geese.
