Chandler J. Rapson

Chandler J. Rapson is an American businessman and president and CEO of First Service Administrators, Inc. (FSAI), a third party administrator (TPA) and risk management company located in Lakeland, Florida.

Education

Chandler Rapson earned his MBA summa cum laude from Monmouth University. He graduated from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University with a Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) degree.

Career

Rapson began his career in the health care and insurance industries as an officer in the United States Army. He was the resource management director for Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Ronald R. Blanck, the 39th Surgeon General of the United States Army. During his military career, Rapson also served as the chief financial officer for Walter Reed Medical Center and NE Hospital Clinics in Washington D.C. and New Jersey. After leaving the military, he went to work for GE Capital where he earned his Six Sigma Master Black Belt designation. Rapson joined HealthPlan Services (HPS), the nation's largest privately held TPA, in 2000. During his seven year tenure at HPS, Rapson held several key management positions, including vice president of operations and development, vice president and board member of AVMA Group Health and Life Insurance Trust (GHLIT), and director of marketing and business development. Before joining First Service Administrators in 2008, Rapson was the vice president of product delivery for Caremedic Systems. Rapson continues to leverage his experience and expertise in both the public and private sectors to help FSAI's self funded employer groups understand the challenging and complex issues facing the health care and insurance industries today.
