Roman Wick (born December 30, 1985) is a Swiss professional ice hockey player currently playing for the Kloten Flyers of the Swiss National League A (NLA). He was drafted by the Ottawa Senators as the 156th overall pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He is also a member of Switzerland's national team.

Career

Roman Wick began his career as an ice hockey player in the year 2002 for the Kloten Flyers, for whom he had already played in the junior leagues. He played two years with the Flyers in the Nationalliga A before he was picked in the fifth round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft 156th overall. He never played for the Ottawa Senators even though he was drafted by them. Wick played in the Western Hockey League (WHL) between 2004 and 2006 for the Red Deer Rebels and the Lethbridge Hurricanes. He returned to the Kloten Flyers for the 2006–07 season. After a tryout in 2007 with the Senators, he returned again to Kloten for the 2007–08 season and has played there ever since.

International

Wick played for Switzerland's national team in the U-18 world championships in 2003, the U-20 world championship in 2005 as well as in the Ice Hockey World Championships 2008 and 2009.
