J. Reeta Jones (born October 17, 1898) is an American supercentenarian, at the age of 111 years. Jones celebrated her 110th birthday early at First Seventh-Day Adventist Chruch in Knoxville early on September 28, 2008.

Biography

When Jones was a little girl, she once went into a car with a strange person and accepted it. Even though she enjoyed that ride, Jones never learned how to drive one; instead, she learnt how to drive a golf car. She kept on driving one until she was 109 years old. At the age of 16, she married Oscar D. Jones; their marriage lasted until he deceased in 1985. She spent most of her life in labor. She worked in her kitchen and at the sanitarium and laundry rooms at Little Creek Academy. She also was a house-maid and raised her six children; only one of them is biologically elated to her. Not only did Jones spend her life working, she enjoyed traveling around the globe; she traveled on special vacations to Egypt, The Holy Lands and Hawaii.
