Pennsylvania Route 60 is a 9.4-mile (15.1 km) long state highway in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania, connecting Pittsburgh to its western suburbs. The route's southern terminus is on Pittsburgh's West End at U.S. Route 19/Pennsylvania Route 51 while the northern terminus is at Interstate 376 in Robinson Township. Until the extension of I-376 in 2009, the road extended to Sharon along what is now I-376. PA 60's northern terminus at that time was at U.S. 62 in downtown Sharon.

The U.S. Congress had legislated an extension of Interstate 376 along most of PA 60, running from US 22/US 30 to I-80. The extension became official on November 6, 2009, and PA 60 has been officially truncated to its current intersection with U.S. 22 & U.S. 30 on Pittsburgh's Parkway West in Robinson Township, while the "Toll 60" and "Business 60" designations (the latter of which is from a former alignment of PA 60 in Moon Township, see below), have been decommissioned altogether. To ease the confusion surrounding the transition to I-376, the old Route 60 signs are expected to remain in place for several weeks.

A new "END 60" sign for its new Northern terminus, along with junction signs for U.S. 22/30 and I-376, is now in place. There is also a new "BEGIN 60" sign near the exit to I-376 West (formerly PA 60 North) where PA 60 South now starts.

Route description

PA 60 begins at South Main Street in Pittsburgh's West End near an at-grade intersection with U.S. Route 19, Pennsylvania Route 51, and the northern terminus of Pennsylvania Route 837. In Crafton, PA 60 meets the eastern terminus of Pennsylvania Route 50. In Crafton, northbound and southbound traffic of PA 60 divides for about a half a mile. PA 60 South breaks from PA 60 North on Crafton Blvd. with a right on Dinsmore Ave., right on Noble Ave., left on East Steuben St. and rejoining northbound traffic at the intersection of West Steuben St. and West Crafton Ave. PA 60 North in Crafton separates from its South route with a right turn onto West Crafton Ave., straight on Crennell Ave., through the busway underpass, right on Stotz Ave., left on Bradford Ave. and left on Crafton Blvd. where it rejoins opposing traffic. About 2 or 3 miles (4.8 km) west of Crafton, PA 60 intersects Interstate 79 at Exit 60. At this point, the Yellow Belt has become PA 60. PA 60 meets US 22/ US 30 and reaches its northern terminus.
