Shekar Natarajan (Chandrashekar Natarajan), born July 23, 1979 in Secunderabad, India currently serves as the Director of Supply Chain for the Pepsi Beverages Company. He is a world-renowned supply-chain expert and a prolific writer in the field of supply chain management, who has presented at major international conferences in US, Latin America, Asia, Australia and Europe . He has shared his extensive knowledge and innovative concepts which has received worldwide accolades. He is the developer and co-author of a revolutionary planning methodology "Planning by Design," with co-author Richard Muther and Simplified Systematic Network Planning - Six Steps to Effective Network Planning with Lee Hales. He also serves on the board of CICMHE & MHIA and is Co-Chairman of IHPP. He also serves on the board of “DC Velocity” a leading Supply Chain magazine.

A frequent speaker at national and international conferences, Shekar was the keynote speaker at Movimat 2008, the largest Latin American logistics show. The Government of Brazil formally recognized him for the content and insights he provided for developing and managing supply chain processes. Shekar received a MS in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology after earning his Bachelors of Technology in Mechanical Engineering degree in India. He is certified as a Project Management Professional, Six Sigma Black Belt, Supply Chain Professional, Logistics Professional and a Fellow in Production and Inventory Management (CFPIM).[1]

Education

He received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru University in India (thesis from IIT Kanpur) and Master’s in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2003.[2]
