Desulfurisation is a chemical reaction involving the removal of sulfur from a molecule (e.g. A=S → A:).

An important industrial desulfurisation processes is also the hydro-desulfurization of natural gas. In a second step, the Claus process, elemental sulfur is recovered from the produced gaseous hydrogen sulfide.
