The Burdens of Being Upright is the first album by American singer/songwriter Tracy Bonham. It was released on March 19, 1996 and it was her major label debut. The album cover was photoghraphed by George DuBose who was the in-house photoghrapher at the [hip hop]] label Cold Chillin' Records. some of his works include Biz Markie's "Goin' Off", Big Daddy Kane's "Long Live The Kane", Kool G Rap & D.J. Polo's "Road To The Riches", and Masta Ace's "Take A Look Around"
