All My Friends Are Funeral Singers is the title of the 2009 album by Califone and film written and directed by Tim Rutili. The album was the first release by Califone on Dead Oceans. The 2LP version of the album contains a bonus track, called "Lunar H", on side 4. The track Buñuel is biographical of Spanish filmmaker Luis Buñuel. All of the songs on the release were written in conjunction with the screenplay. Filming took place in Indiana over the course of 11 days in spring of 2009 and the final film was accepted in the 2010 Sundance Film Festival competition. Casting for the film includes Angela Bettis in the lead role of Zel along with members of Califone and other Chicago based bands such as The Bitter Tears and The Judy Green.
