Don't merge the articles or redirect - the terms are not the same. There is so much here that is not covered in procrastination and using the term "procrastination" is not a substitute for "student syndrome." Procrastination is a broad term and student syndrome is specific and generates enough interest to survive on the Free Encyclopedia. This is well written and should stay. Would you advocate getting rid of the Apple and the Orange entrys and redirecting to the Fruit entry? No - and that is what this tendency to always redirect this entry to procrastination is like. Alaskan's have many names for snow because they know the difference not becuase they have failed to understand all the names more completely.

There seems to be significant overlap between this page and procrastination. Specifically Procrastination#Academic procrastination. I propose that these two pages be merged to avoid unnecessary redundancy of information, and to allow for a more complete understanding of both topic. Is there consensus for a merge? --YbborTalk 13:31, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see why not. They both seem to cover almost the same topic and the procrastination article isn't so big that it needs to be split into smaller articles. Graham87 13:44, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I also agree with the proposed merge. Lamorak 15:21, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Merge (if you get around to it). "Student syndrome" seems barely notable in this context. 13k G-hits, many for "medical student syndrome" and other concepts not related to procrastination. Accurizer 01:05, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am now beginning the process of merging. Thanks for your input. --YbborTalk 00:41, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is brilliant how this page is almost certainly being visited largely by students who are procrastinating. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.4.164.36 (talk) 13:39, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

haha! the only thing I could think after reading it was "so they have a name for what I do every single time without fail"
also, the last sentence is incomprehensible, can someone please rewrite it?70.27.109.41 (talk) 10:03, 14 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

HaHa- I'm only reading this now to avoid writing an English essay that I've had 2 weeks to do and is due in tommorow.

so does the syndrome has any relieve? or any cause? 06:46, 24 May 2010 (UTC)06:46, 24 May 2010 (UTC)~``
