Archer Maclean's Mercury is a video game for the PlayStation Portable, released in April of 2005. In Mercury, you tilt a level in order to get a drop of mercury to its appointed destination, in a similar fashion to Marble Madness. Differences include newer obstacles and the ablity for the mercury to morph, split and transform around the levels.

Worlds and levels

There are seven worlds in the game:

  • Neon
  • Quartz
  • Xero
  • Aqua
  • Helios
  • Nano

Each world is split into twelve levels. Three each of the Percentage, Task and Time types and two combo and one boss. The time type requires the player to reach the end of the level in time. Percentage requires a certain percentage of mercury to be preserved while task requires the user to travel through beacons in order to beat the level. The final world is locked for those who beat the high scores in the game.

Obstacles

There are a variety of obstacles in the game, which risk the player loosing mercury. Common ones include holes, zappers and eaters. There are also many potetionally useful obstacles in the game if used correctly.
