This article is cribbed wholesale from the U.S. State Department's Background Note on Hungary from August, 1999. Therefore, it appears to be not only obviously out-of-date, but also plagiarized. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.232.231.31 (talk • contribs) 02:39, 24 October 2006.
I have deleted the questioned part and am in the process of writing a new one. Mrgann (talk) 20:21, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
Please add more info about the high amount of tax evasion in Hungary. It's a real problem and prevents the country from developing.--Sonjaaa 12:27, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Merge of Economic Transition of Hungary
Simply, this is short article on part of the history of the Hungarian economy. It would be better served as part of this article placing the information in a wider context. Nuttah68 19:30, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
I'm am not sure exactly the protocol here, but I agree that the two articles should be merged. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.177.65.23 (talk) 22:53, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Separate History of the Hungarian economy page
I have created a separate History of the Hungarian economy page because I believe that a) this is an extremely long chunk of text b) has a different purpose: this page should serve as an overview of the current state of the economy and only contain a shortened historical part.
