Lev Vlassenko

World-renowned international concert pianist and teacher, Lev Vlassenko (Лев Власенко) born in Tbilisi, 1928; died in Brisbane, 1996) He won the First Prize in the 1956 Franz(Ferencz) Liszt Competition and was second to Van Cliburn at the I-st Tchaikovsky Competition two years later.

In 1991 he was decorated a People's Artist of the USSR.
