Brasse vannie kaap

Brasse Vannie Kaap, sometimes abbreviatted as BVK, was a South African rap group from the Cape Flats, and rapped predominantly in Afrikaans. A hip-hop collective, members included MCs Mr. Fat and Garlic Brown, DJs Ready D, Azuhl and Hamma, and B-boys Shortee Blitz, Cheez and Baby L. The group was committed to community involvement and a focus on the issues of the Cape Flats and the South African nation, and attempted to reach out to youth imprisoned in local jails.[1] BVK proved to have a broad appeal and became one of the biggest muscial acts in the country, and even toured Europe.

Mr. Fat, born Ashley Titus, died on November 27, 2007 from heart complictations.[1]
