Sal Glesser

Founder of the Spyderco Corp. A U.S.A. based firm that manufactures high quality knives. Louis (Sal) Glesser is also an inventor and has patented different revolutionary designs regarding knife design including the patented hole in the blade , the so called Spyderhole and the carry clip clipit.

These inventions that made the use of a folding knife with the use of one hand possible has been copied widely since the first use of a hole in the blade to aid in opening and the use of the clip to retain the knife on the pants pocket.

Sal Glesser also invented a knife sharpening system that is still regarded by many to be the best knife sharpening system available today.

Sal Glesser and his son Eric Glesserare also known to be very talented knife designers winning numerous awards.
