Spyderco is a company,founded in 1978 and based in Golden, Colorado, U.S.A., that produces a wide variety of high quality knives, including, but not limited to everyday carry pocketknives, rescue knives, diving knives, combat knives, and kitchen knives, and sharpeners.
Spyderco knives are regarded as high quality, heavy duty knives made for professionals. Spyderco knives are designed by the founder of Spyderco knives Sal Glesser and his son Eric Glesser.
Spyderco knives are considered "purpose build knives", they are made with the customer in mind, using high quality steel and materials. Due to the fact that Spyderco knives are purpose build they tend to cover a vast array of knife configurations, blade type, and use of steel.
