Festival Miami is an annual music festival hosted by the University of Miami's Frost School of Music. It was founded in 1984 under the name of International Festival of the Americas. The following year, the fledgling festival was renamed to Festival Miami. With over 20 concerts every October, Festival Miami provides South Florida with unique musical programming ranging from Latin to jazz to classical to creative American music.^[1]
