Noel Chiappa

J. Noel Chiappa (b. 1950) is a is an American engineer. As a staff researcher and Internet technology pioneer who at MIT who implemented the first multiprotocol Internet router for an MIT- Stanford link in 1981. The router at the Stanford end was implemented independently by William Yeager.[1][2][3] Chiappa is listed on the "Birth of the Internet" plaque at the entrance to the Gates Computer Science Building, Stanford.[4]
