Boktai (series)
Boktai, or known as Bokura no Taiyou is a video game series created by Konami for Game Boy Advance handheld console. They are recognized for using an innovative solar sensor that has a major part and a key element in gameplay. Boktai was created by Hideo Kojima, creator of the popular Metal Gear Solid series.
There are currently three games in the series:
- Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand (2003)
- Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django (2004)
- Boktai 3: Sabata's Counterattack (2005)
Below are the full titles for the original Japanese games:
- "Bokura no Taiyou: Taiyou Akushon RPG"
- "Zoku-Bokura no Taiyou: Taiyou Shounen Jango"
- "Shin-Bokura no Taiyou: Gyakushuu no Sabata"

- "Bokura no Taiyou" becomes "Our Sun"
- "Taiyou Akushon RPG" becomes "Solar Action RPG"
- "Taiyou Shounen" becomes "Solar Boy"

Jango is spelt as 'Django' in the english titles.
- The Boktai series have a 'famous' crossover with another well-known series, starting from Rockman EXE 4 - Tournament Red Sun/Blue Moon, or Megaman Battle Network as dubbed in America.
- In Rockman EXE 5 Twin Leaders for the DS (Megaman Battle Network 5 Double Team DS) you can find a Django or Otenko poster in Netto/Lan's room, depending on the version you are playing. Also, There are Boktai theme chips and a Sol Cross Rockman fusion.
