Speedy deletion nomination of Bloosee

A tag has been placed on Bloosee requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — Timneu22 · talk 10:43, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:VladoD, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

BlooSee

Hi Vlado. There is nothing personal about my deleting BlooSea. The problem with the article was that there was no claim of the company's significance or importance—this is intended as a lower measure than the notability criteria, rather than a question about a product's relevance to its users. In the case of BlooSea, I suggest that the best way to do that might be through providing examples of independent media coverage. Best wishes, Rje (talk) 12:30, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

BlooSee

Rje, ok, I've republished an article with the format used by other companies and with examples of independent media coverage. Let me know if this time it fits the criteria. Thanks,

You continue to create this article, but there is no importance asserted, no significance shown, and no third-party reliable sourcing. Do not create this page again. I suggest you created it here instead, and then when you think it is ready you should ask for guidance. By constantly introducing this page, your edits appear to be promotional and disruptive. — Timneu22 · talk 13:46, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

BlooSee

Hi Vlado. Unfortunately the people who patrol new pages are sometimes rather quick to pull the trigger, although Timneu22 only moved the article to your userspace, rather than deleting it. The article still reads like a promotional piece in places, and I suggest that you work on the text to make it read more like an encyclopedia entry—as the article is in userspace at the moment, you don't have to worry about it being deleted. You might also want to read Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies), because I can only help you avoid the pitfalls of speedy deletion. If the article does not meet the notability criteria it is likely to fail if it is listed for debate at articles for deletion. Let me know if you have any more questions. Best wishes, Rje (talk) 14:28, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

BlooSee

Rje, thanks for your comments, but I have looked at a number of other companies' articles and mine does no more nor less than others. I feel that because BlooSee is not Facebook or Twitter, reviewers are dismissing it. My biggest issue is the apparent arrogance or indifference of admins or maybe the whole review process that does nothing to help a user navigate the bureaucratic mambo jambo of ambiguously worded rules with no examples or support. Wikipedia is supposed to be a community managed knowledge base not a fascist tyranny of disinterested nazis. I'll be taking this higher up. At least being in the Bay Area, I can walk over to the Wikimedia Foundation in San Francisco and talk to an adult. We have friends there. Thank you for your help. But I am now determined to make someone pay for what bs this process has become. This is ridiculous. Let the community come in and edit my article if something is bogus. I'm sorry that if after seeing the article a reader may want to learn more about a business and patronized it. That's the whole concept of open source. And, now we will block all links to wikipedia from our site. Cheers, VladoD (talk) 15:07, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
