DFDS Lisco GmbH in Kiel (Germany)

DFDS LISCO GmbH situated in Kiel is the German branch of the Lithuanian shipping company AB DFDS LISCO. AB DFDS LISCO operates 3 lines with 5 ferries for passengers and freight connecting Germany to Lithuania and Sweden to Lithuania. The parent company is the Danish shipping company DFDS A/S based in Copenhagen, which has generally concentrated on freight and passenger traffic on the North Sea (and to a lesser extent the Baltic Sea).

DFDS LISCO GmbH is responsible for freight and passenger sales and marketing in the German market and Germany's neighbour countries. After DFDS' acquisition of Norfolkline the new DFDS is structured into two divisions - DFDS Seaways and DFDS Logistics. DFDS Seaways is the new name for all shipping services, previously known as Norfolkline, DFDS Tor Line, DFDS LISCO and the Terminals in Immingham, Vlaardingen, Esbjerg and Copenhagen.

DFDS A/S bought a 600 passenger and 2490 lanemeter ro-pax vessel from Grimaldi Ferries. The vessel was built at Nuovi Cantieri Apuania (Italy). It started its service as MV LISCO Maxima in May 2009 on the Kiel-Klaipeda route.[1]
