At this point I see maintaining the semi-protection as the only way to avoid blocking half of Israel from editing Wikipedia. The person (or group) involved has shown no willingness to work with the community or follow any standard conventions. Fortunately he has limited his activity to only one article. With semi-protection there is nothing to keep established users from continuing to update and improve the article, so it seems to cause the least harm. --StuffOfInterest 00:30, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
