  • Not to be confused with Sten Christer Andersson (1943-2010), who was a long-time leader of the centre-right Moderate Party and subsequently a member of the far-right Sweden Democrats (2007-2010).

Sten Sture Andersson (20 April 1923, Stockholm, Sweden – 16 September 2006, Stockholm, Sweden) was a Swedish social democratic politician.

He worked closely with Olof Palme, and became known internationally for his support of Palestinian independence from Israel. In a TV interview on 22 February 2004 the Israeli ambassador to Sweden, Zvi Mazel, called Andersson and Sweden's UN ambassador Pierre Schori "professional anti-Israelis". [1]

Andersson died suddenly from a heart attack on the afternoon of 16 September 2006.[1]
