Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Online post office. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. The link added clearly fails WP:ELNO #12. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 02:29, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The comment above is made by an emotional and destructive administrator who is at odds with the community. For the history, see Talk:Online_post_office, where he makes the same claims above, and then later reverses his position. Obviously it's quite a stretch for him to claim that a neutral comparison page constructed by community volunteers is commercial, seeking to "attract visitors to a web site or promote a product". The record speaks for itself.

Again, same admin trying to characterize a neutral collection of research-worthy information as "advertising or promotion". This is the comparison page user:Barek is responding to: Online post office comparison.

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

Again, same admin. Making the same unfounded claim that a link to a community-editable comparison site on the subject matter of an article constitutes "a vehicle for advertising or promotion". Further discussion on the conduct of this admin found here. It should also be pointed out that Barek has taken an underhanded approach in his attack on my account, by responding to edits all made in a short timeframe multiple times and spreading out the dates, to give the false appearance not only that I'm a spammer, but also a repeat offender. He's only looking to accelerate a paper trail to get my account banned. For the record, I have never once inserted an external link to a company for commercial gain, and I am not employed by any company that stands to benefit from any of the information I've published. I often remove such links. I have only linked to articles that are relevant to the subject matter, neutral, and have research or encyclopedic value.
