Non Stanford
Non Stanford (born 8 January 1989) is a Welsh professional triathlete.
Non Stanford was a successful (cross country) runner when in the summer of 2008, she changed to swimming (because of an injury) at the university's triathlon club, and soon became a top triathlete. In the 2009 British Triathlon Super Series she placed 2nd and in 2009/10 she was awarded the Paul Weston Triathlon Scholarship to concentrate on triathlon.[1]
In 2010 she finished her degree course (Sport and Exercises Sciences) at the University of Birmingham and won the bronze medal at the Premium European Cup in Brasschaat.
Non Stanford lives in West Wales, her club is Swansea Harriers.
She is a distant cousin to the American rapper Lil Wayne, on her mother's side.
Her favourite dance is the bicep bop and is regularly observed performing this celebratory ritual during the racing season.
