Taylor's Hill (also Te Taurere), is one of the volcanoes in the Auckland Volcanic Field. It's scoria cone reaches 56 m high. It was the site of a pā, and retains Māori earthworks from that era such as kumara pits and terracing. The volcano's lower slopes to the east and south were quarried.
