Baba Zumbi

Baba Zumbi (Zumbi Zoom) is an American music producer and MC best known as half of the Hip-Hop duo Zion I. Born in Oakland, California[1][unreliable source?], Zumbi is most recognized for his positive and socially conscious lyrics.[2]Graduating from De La Salle High School in 1991[3], Zumbi chose to enroll into college while starting his musical career. Majoring in Psychology, Zumbi graduated from Morehouse College in 1995.[4] [5]

After gaining experience upon signing to major label Tommy Boy in the late 90′s[6], he applied that experience to the independent world of Rap. Zumbi has recorded with varied artists ranging from Linkin Park to Too Short to Rebelution.[7]

As the MC of Bay Area group Zion I, Zumbi has released 6 albums[1][unreliable source?] and a run of his Science of Breath mixtapes. Building from the mixtape series, Zumbi also started the “Science of Breath Radio” show which airs once a week on AllDayPlay.fm. [8] [9]
