The Dalles-Wahtonka High School (TDW) is a public high school located in The Dalles, Oregon, in the United States. It houses students from both The Dalles and the adjacent town of Mosier.

Campus

Main campus gymnasium

In 2004, school districts 9 (which had Wahtonka High School on the West side of town) and 12 (which had The Dalles High School on the East side of town) combined to form one school district in The Dalles: SD 21 (this number being chosen as it is the sum of 9 and 12).

West campus

Wahtonka High School (west campus)

The smaller Wahtonka building, formerly Wahtonka High School, is now known as the West/Wahtonka Campus. The West Campus housed the freshmen until the 2009-2010 school year when budget cuts made it necessary to consolidate the student body in the East campus. It now houses the alternative education campus.

East campus

The East campus, formerly The Dalles High School, housed grades 10–12 until the 2009-2010 school year. It now houses grades 9-12 which has led many students become claustrophobic, as well as fearful of their lives while walking through Sophomore hallway.

Alternative Education campus

The Alternative Education campus - now known as Discovery High School/Disco High/Alt. Ed. - formerly Wahtonka High School, houses select students of grades 9-12 as an opportunity to allow students to fulfill their education in a slower-paced environment. This campus was moved from the former Chenoweth Middle School building to the former Wahtonka High School Building prior to the 2009-2010 school year.

Academics

In 2008, 77% of the school's seniors received their high school diploma. Of 253 students, 194 graduated, 36 dropped out, 1 received a modified diploma, and 22 are still in high school.[5][6]
