During Guantanamo captive Mohammad Fazil's Combatant Status Review Tribunal an individual name Abdul Razaq was named as the Taliban's Deputy Minister of Defense.[1]

One of the allegations against Fazil was that he himself was the Taliban's Deputy Minister of Defense.[1] One of Fazil's witnesses, Abdul Haq Wasiq testified that Abdul Razaq was the Deputy Minister of Defense.

During his 2005 Administrative Review Board hearing the officers at Abdul Razak's hearing repeatedly asked him to confirm that he was not the deputy to the Taliban Minister of Defense.[2] He was one of six Guantanamo captives named Abdul Razak. He was the one who had been the Taliban's Minister of Commerce [3].
