Truth in Numbers? Everything, According to Wikipedia is an American documentary film.[1] The film explores the history and cultural implications of Wikipedia.[2]

The film goes back to a suggestion by Michael Ferris Gibson, who had made the 2005 documentary 24 Hours on Craigslist.[3] Filming started in August 2006 at the Wikimania 2006 conference, and by April 2007 the team had aggregated 100 hours of footage.[3] As a non-profit project, it had received more than $55,000 in donations by March 2009.[4]

The directors and Jimmy Wales in Gdańsk.

Clips were shown at Wikimania 2007 prior to its completion,[5] and the film had its premiere at Wikimania 2010 in Gdańsk in July 2010, before an audience of around 300 people[6][7]. It was released by a screening at the Paley Center for Media in New York City on October 20, 2010.[8][9] The film was also screened at the Savannah Film Festival on November 3, 2010,[10] and is scheduled for a limited theatrical release in the USA on November 30, 2010.[11] A trailer for the movie was released at the end of October 2010.
